Air or Car from Edinburgh Airport, The South (50.0
miles)
Leave the airport and follow signs for the Queensferry Crossing over the Forth and
the M90 north to Perth. After crossing the Friarton Bridge take the first exit to Perth and then follow
signs for the A93 to Blairgowrie. As you approach Perth follow signs for A93 and Braemar and
Blairgowrie.
For The Coach House - When you reach Blairgowrie, follow the A93 through the town and across the River Ericht. There is a church on the corner which is now a restaurant. The next house on the main road is ours with the blue gates and a sign for The Coach House.
For The Old Scout Hall and Cara's Cottage - As you travel into the town of Blairgowrie, continue along the A93 along Perth Street It is best to turn left up along John Street and then right along George Street and left into David Street. (It may look on a map that turning up Bank Street will continue into David Street, but Bank Street is quite narrow) The entrance to the car park and the properties are on the left after about 30 metres.
From Glasgow, take the M80, then the M/A9, continue around Perth and follow A93 as above.
Train from Perth station (15.0 miles)
There are regular
trains from Glasgow and Edinburgh to Perth. From there you can take a taxi to Blairgowrie, (probably
around £30) or a bus to the centre of Blairgowrie.
For The Coach House - walk across the bridge over the River Ericht, and past the church on the corner which is now a (very good) restaurant. The gateway to The Coach House at Riverlea is the next on your left with the blue gates.
The road from The North
Not many choices here. If you
get to Braemar, then just follow the A93 down to Blairgowrie and The Coach House is on your right just
before the bridge over the River Ericht. If coming south from Inverness on the A9, then you can turn
left at Pitlochry or Dunkeld to come across to Blairgowrie.
